CCRI Director’s involvement in Modernising Alberta’s Primary Health Care System (MAPS)

On the 31st of March 2023, the Strategic Advisory Panel Final Report for Modernising Alberta’s Primary Health Care System (MAPS) was released. The report focuses on the important advances made through effective promoting and fostering of primary health care in Alberta, Canada. The MAPS initiative is an opportunity to rebuild the foundation in a trusting and respectful environment through partnership and collaboration. It is the start of a long journey, with an ongoing need for robust consultation at all stages of implementation. The strategic shifts and recommendations in this report offer a roadmap for how Alberta’s primary health care system should evolve over the next five to ten years.

CCRI Director Nick Goodwin’s involvement in the MAPS report underlines a great example of international collaboration. Nick received a personal thank you letter from Jason Copping, Minister for Alberta Health, for his valued service and insights.
