CCRI and Partners establish IFIC Australia

The International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC) is an international NGO dedicated to promoting the science, knowledge and adoption of integrated care in policy and practice around the world. IFIC Australia has been established as an initiative designed to take forward these goals in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region by enabling the exchange of ideas among academics, researchers, managers, clinicians, policy-makers, service users and carers.

With the benefit of financial support from the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence for Integrated Health and Social Care (CREHSCI), IFIC Australia has been re-established as a partnership between IFIC, the CCRI, the University of Sydney and Sydney LHD. Through the creation of a network of affiliated organisations and individuals, IFIC Australia will seek to promote international, regional and local collaborations through webinars, education and training programs, conferences and events and translational research.

For the next three years, the CCRI shall host the secretariat to IFIC Australia at its offices in Gosford. The IFIC Australia partnership represents a unique opportunity to lead a national and regional movement for change towards integrated care and help to grow vibrant national and international research collaborations and educational programs.
