The Central Coast Research & Innovation Centre (CCRI) Affiliate Scheme connects people involved in health and wellbeing research and innovation with the Central Coast research and innovation community.
Affiliation is open to researchers, clinicians, health professionals, students, community members and others whose work or interests align with CCRI and the Central Coast.

What affiliation offers

CCRI Affiliates can:

  • connect with researchers, clinicians, community members and other partners
  • take part in CCRI seminars, workshops, training and other activities
  • explore opportunities for collaborative research, innovation and funding
  • connect with the Central Coast Health & Wellbeing Living Lab
  • be recognised as part of the CCRI research and innovation network
  • access hot desk facilities at the Clinical School building, subject to availability and relevant access and induction requirements.

What is expected of Affiliates?

Affiliates are asked to:

  • acknowledge their CCRI affiliation on relevant research outputs, grant applications, conference presentations and professional activities
  • engage with CCRI and its activities where relevant and practical
  • complete a short annual reporting survey
  • keep CCRI informed of relevant changes to their role, organisation, contact details or affiliation status.

Affiliation is reviewed annually.

Who can apply?
CCRI affiliation is open to people involved in, or seeking to build their capability in, health and wellbeing research and innovation connected to the Central Coast. This includes University of Newcastle and Central Coast Local Health District staff, research students, conjoint and visiting academics, clinicians and health professionals, community and lived experience partners, private health sector staff, and other researchers or clinicians with a strong connection to CCRI or the Central Coast.
