Within this theme we focus on the health and wellbeing of women, children and families, from before birth through the early years and across the life course.
We recognise that women’s health, pregnancy, early childhood and family wellbeing are connected across the life course. The theme creates a shared space for work that supports women, children and families at key life stages and in the community contexts that shape health and wellbeing.
It includes women’s health, pregnancy, birth, postnatal care, early childhood development, family wellbeing, prevention, early intervention and the social conditions that shape health from the beginning of life.
The Central Coast has strong clinical and academic capability across nursing, midwifery, child and family health, public health and related fields. This theme provides a pathway to connect those strengths with primary care, community services, families and local partners.
We welcome conversations with partners interested in women’s health, early life, family wellbeing and the conditions that support lifelong health.
