The Central Coast Health and Wellbeing Living Lab sits within CCRI. It brings co-design and community engagement capability into research and innovation projects.
It works with people from across community, health services, industry, research and government to explore health and wellbeing challenges that matter to the Central Coast. The Living Lab helps projects work with the people who are most affected by an issue, so ideas are shaped by lived experience, service context and practical realities.
This approach supports projects from early-stage community engagement and co-design through to the refinement and evaluation of new products, services, tools and models of care.
The Living Lab supports projects to:
-
Involve community members earlier
-
Understand lived experience and service context
-
Co-design products, services, tools and models of care
-
Refine ideas with the people who may use, deliver or be affected by them
-
Strengthen research translation and implementation
